L. J. Lamb is from the United States and has lived and worked in Asia and Europe for over 35 years. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. (Honors in History), M.A.T. (Education and Political Science), and Juris Doctor (Law). He is admitted to practice law in Iowa and has a real estate broker’s license from the State of California.

He is an avid student of various self-development programs and holds certificates in Behavioral Kinesiology, Neuro-linguistic Programming, Life Coaching, Hypnosis, the Law of Attraction, and Emotional Freedom Techniques.

He served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps as a military lawyer. After military service, he was a consultant in the shipping industry, working in six different countries in Asia. He then became a legal advisor for the Veterans Affairs Commission of the Taiwan government. He also worked as advisor and editor for Taiwan’s Government Information Office, where he researched, wrote, and edited the English versions of documents and speeches for high-ranking officials, including Taiwan's President, Vice President, Premier, and various cabinet ministers. He served as legal counsel for a venture capital company in Europe for two years, before returning to Taiwan.

He is an active member of Toastmasters International, the largest non-profit organization dedicated to public speaking, communication, and leadership training. He has attain the Distinguished Toastmaster award, the highest educational award in Toastmasters - three times.
